Some non-profits in the United States have a hundred or more professional people on their staff whose job it is to raise money for the organization. These are sophisticated groups with significant resources at their disposal. Most non-profits are not that fortunate. There may be only several staff members who are charged with generating hundreds of thousands of dollars in critical revenues to keep the programs and services in operation. The techniques for raising money are wide ranging and the effective application of those techniques require knowledge and experience. Many agencies are standing by to help with products and services. The all have something to sell to help raise money. The challenge is to determine which products and services will produce the best Return on Investment(ROI) for the specific non-profit.
